Royal Caribbean Orders Fourth Quantum-class Cruise Ship Print E-mail

940420p516EDNmainQuantum-RINA-Award-940x443Royal Caribbean Cruises has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Meyer Werft in Germany to order a fourth Quantum-class ship for delivery in 2019.

The Quantum-class was first introduced with the delivery of the 168,666 gross ton Quantum of the Seas in November 2014, followed by the Anthem of the Seas in April 2015. A third ship, Ovation of the Seas, is under construction at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. Ovation of the Seas will be delivered in Spring 2016.

The Quantum ships have been called the world’s ‘smartest’ cruise ships, with accommodations for 4,180 guests at double occupancy and 2,090 staterooms.
